'A Failure At Every Level': Texas Democrat Demands Uvalde Shooting Answers - The Last Word - MSNBC

Texas State Sen. Roland Gutierrez joins MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell to discuss the lack of information from Texas officials dodging questions about the delayed police response and the failures that led to “tragic loss of life” as new questions emerge about who received 911 calls from students begging for help: “There is this tremendous coverup and an unwillingness to tell the truth.” Aired on 06/02/2022.

We pretty much got it w/ facts. Those outdated replies aren’t getting it. The common denominator is guns. Period. What’s the count since Uvalde? It’s heartbreaking to even think that

But folks are angry enough and those responsible for this failure need to be held to account. They just received "active shooter training" back in March!

Yes, he made a horrible deadly mistake not rushing the gunman but I doubt we will see any justice. The DA won't even take questions because she is going to absolve him. They all know each other and they are going to protect each other. He should resign his new position and leave town, never to be seen or heard from again. Fuck him. Freaking cowards.

But wouldn't his reputation follow him? Surely he'd have to present a résumé. And this tragedy has received national attention. But you're probably right, people have short memories. I can't imagine living with the deaths of an entire class of young children and their courageous teachers on his conscience.

Those cowards don’t care about you or me.
They are part of the cult of the GOP gun slingers. Awful people.
Not one of the good cops but there’s no national database of police officers to track their history.
So it’s a win win for this guy just to leave town. He can get a job anywhere.
It’s sickening.
