A Chilling Portrait Of T****'s Attempt To Steal The Election By Weaponizing The DOJToday the Jan. 6th Committee painted a chilling and criminally insane portrait of the former president's attempt to steal the election by weaponizing the Department of Justice.

(4,292 posts)In the first clip, Colbert introduces the next -- possibly historic -- statement: "Kinzinger summed up how ridiculous the former president's conspiracy theories were."
At 9:22, the distinguished representative from Illinois says "This is one of the best examples of the lengths to which the pres..., president *****, would go to stay in power. Scouring the Internet to support his 'conspiracy sh... theories' shown here."
Judging from the reaction from some audience members, I'd say he had it right the first time.
As always, thanks!

That did make me laugh! If you remember, he doesn't want to use TFG's name so asked viewers to send in nicknames and some are awfully good! This was a really good show! Glad you liked it, too!

(205,927 posts)And I think I've been posting Colbert's monologue (and Openings!) since 2017 - since he keeps up with politics, is as funny as they come, and I know that a lot of DUers don't stay up as late as I do.
As for the T**** name, that's Colbert, not me. He announced ages ago that he would not use the name, but invited viewers to send in "nicknames" that he could use instead - if he was forced to mention him. And some of these are priceless, the one he used last night (Scammy Doofus Jr.) made me laugh. Here's a sampling:
