Republican Supreme Court Could Impose National Abortion Ban Without Help From Electeds - TRMS

Rachel Maddow shows how the Republicans on the Supreme Court could take up cases like "fetal personhood" that would effectively end abortion in every state in the U.S. without elected Republicans having to win the White House or any majority in Congress - and there is every reason to believe the would do it. could impeachment of 3 SC Justices and direct election of the President be on the table?

And, for reasons I don't understand, there's been pessimism about our chances in the fall. But after the hearings we just sat through - so far - (and we know that millions watched!) I would think our chances are pretty good!

And she also said that since the number of abortion providers has suddenly shrunk considerably, those who attack abortion providers now have far fewer targets, so those providers are now in increased danger. Even here in New York where abortion has been legal - and it looks like it will still be for the time being - I now know where Planned Parenthood is and I don't think they even provide abortions at that site, it's just for women's health care - because I've seen the protesters with signs in the road, now doubt harassing women simply seeking birth control or checkups. It's already unbelievably stressful for women to obtain reproductive health care of any kind.

If the court decides that all states must comply to a conservative value, state's rights will disappear.
The gun rights decision last week illustrates this.

It's all left up to the whims of the court and this court seems determined to drag America back into dark ages.

They're getting away with whatever they can while they can - and they have "no concern for public opinion."
