The knives have been out for a long time.
They're just picking their moment for when they slit his throat.
"Et tu Rudy?"
When the moment is right and Trump has taken all the slings and arrows he can to help his replacement from getting dinged up by too much media scrutiny, enter the shinny new authoritarian ... potentially/probably, Ron DeSantis.
The Republicans are way ahead of where they're going from Trump. They're already rigging the economy and electoral college for 2024.

(9,132 posts)I think its more than likely that Individual One will either get indicted or crap out either during the primary season or before the election (Either to death or incapacitation) and that Death Santis will be the GQP Partys nominee.
Not that Id mind saying bye-bye Donnie, but beating Death Santis wont be a walk in the park. I suspect that well still be dealing with inflation and the effects of the Russian war against Ukraine and unlike their grandparents, I fear that much of the electorate, particularly the ones who like the party of treason and oligarchy, are so dumb they dont know how to vote for their own interests.

(36,137 posts)in battlegrounds. In FL these billionaires got sheriffs & police endorsements for Rubio over Val Demings because that's the fascist politics of the rich.
Despite inflation, etc., our party has its share of billionaire donors, too.
