International leaders meet to hash out Ukraine recovery plan - DW News

In Ukraine, over 100 hospitals have been destroyed, and damage to civilian infrastructure is running at an estimated 4.5 billion euros every week. Thousands of kilometers of roads have been wrecked and hundreds of bridges have been blown up. Ukrainian officials have put the total economic losses from the war at over 500 billion euros, and rebuilding the country will be an enormous task. International leaders are gathering for a two-day conference in Lugano, Switzerland, to discuss raising funds for the reconstruction effort.

It won't come to $500B, but it's a start.

Then we'll know how much of Ukraine remains to be recovered, and how much becomes Russia.

I hope they'll need much more than 500B, for rebuilding in Crimea as well.

But at this time, the outcome looks grim.
