We adopted one who could easily follow this same path and has made threats like this.
We are out of options on what to do with him.

The options are limited, law enforcement was called on the Highland Park shooter, but his collection of knives and daggers were returned a week later. It's long past time that these threats are taken seriously and not left up to parents who don't know where to turn.

Say, when oppositional defiant disorder is first apparent.

And the entire family must be involved.

It is home-based, intense, time consuming, and there must be a willingness to change.

Without this, ODD morphs into conduct disorder and, frequently, anti-social PD. No effective treatment for personality disorders because the PD is so inextricably intertwined with who the person is.

Here is a bit about Multisystemic family therapy.

Would magats do this without the apparent capacity to realize raising little Johnny to be a racist, gun humping pos? Not likely imho.

On edit: this is very expensive therapy. Would qpukes like to pay for it?
