(70,516 posts)The ban will not pass but get the people who support such killing machines on the record
with their votes not to ban them.
Those weapons have no business in the hands of people who are not military and or law enforcement.
You can see the pain on the Vice President's face.

(205,532 posts)President Clinton had to make that bargain to get it passed, but it's much tougher now than it was back in 1994. Back then, he actually had Republican help and support in getting it passed - from former presidents Carter - Ford and Reagan!
Now part of being a Republican is totally supporting today's NRA, no matter what. And I agree with you completely - no one needs a weapon of war unless they're fighting in an active war zone! Anyone in office who supports the public having access to weapons of war needs to be voted out. Too many innocent lives have been lost since the AWB expired as it is.

(70,516 posts)... an ODNR person finds me with more than 3 rounds in my gun they can seize it, write me up a
nasty ticket, and take away my hunting license. Weapons that can shoot > 50 rounds in under
30 seconds and those rounds are designed to tumble after they hit a body to cause massive blood
loss and trauma should be banned.
