Lawrence O'Donnell: The Future Of America Is On The Ballot In Pennsylvania - The Last Word - MSNBC

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell describes how Republicans are plotting to steal future elections by allowing Republican state legislatures in swing states to subvert the will of the voters with the help of the radical majority on the Supreme Court by a "slow motion coup d’état." Aired on 07/07/2022.

I fell asleep on the couch watching the returns and woke up at about 3am to see TFG and his entire three-marriage family gathered on the TV. I hoped that it was just a bad dream, little did I know what a never ending nightmare the country was in for...

It's scary as hell both for voting rights and for every personal choice we can make. And here we were so relieved when we thought we were rid of TFG for good - but his legacy is continuing to haunt us.

I am so upset about that state elector case SCOTUS is about to rule on. I fear it is the end of democracy in the US.

We can no longer trust the Supreme Court to rule on anything, they've become an activist Supreme Court, not what that branch was intended for.

We have the president, desperately need the Senate - but that leaves the biggest problems we have now, states that seek to decide elections and an unchecked activist Supreme Court.
