and that was during the summer of 2020. Mitigation became the wisest policy: mask mandates, making sure vulnerable people were protected by testing caregivers, and the sensible idea of avoiding crowds and shutting down crowded venues because some people are just not sensible.

Once the vaccine came out, the "zero case" policy became insane.

This is going to cost the power structure in the short term. Longer term, a lot of corporations are questioning the wisdom of relying on suppliers in a country wedded to an insane covid policy, maybe we need to start making our shit closer to home.
