Really, even when MTG makes a dumb press statement I'll say "I know what she meant", but this time I really believe he thinks this is how it works. He doesn't understand that particulate matter is affected by gravity.

Maybe we should put a steep tariff on all that Chinese air.

I distinctly remember back in the '70s, when China was doing atmospheric nuclear tests, the claims that the fallout would drift all the way to the US. Doonesbury even did a strip about it. The same thing happened when Fukushima sort-of-al-most-but-not-quite-depending-on-whom-you-talk-to melted down, and there was panic about the fallout reaching our pristine shores. So if in Mr Walker's confused and depraved mind this is equatable to "out goes the bad air, in comes the good," I'm not terribly surprised.

This is what our Senate has come to. Now, that's a surprise.

The very idea that people will vote for this idiot by the millions + in November is depressing.

How do we tackle serious, existential threats and economic structural deficits when one side of the vote tally is terminally stupid, epically incurious, and led by their noses to do the bidding of others who profit from their pain?

People who hear THAT and think "damn right!" get to vote and their votes count as much as anyone who is actually versed in the field and knows what is happening and what to do about it.

I am seriously welling up with tears of rage thinking of the bleak future we are bequeathing to the youth and knowing that I cannot do a damn thing about it in this current government system. Its past time to blow this thing up and start over. A system so broken that a man with clear signs of mental deficiency likely early signs of CTE and no ability or qualifications is on the doorstep of the United States Senate is a system that has failed.

I cannot believe anyone would watch this guy speak and conclude, "Yeah I'd totally trust him to vote on the federal budget, federal judges, and cabinet members. He would really know how to cross examine witnesses in committee hearings."

Perhaps the Republicans want someone who's easily manipulated by lobbyists, on purpose.

and rubber stamp the Republican position. They haven't been interested in competence for a while.

They thought Warnock won because he was Black, just replace a Black man with a Black man. The bench isn't deep on the Republican side since most competent Black politicians are Democrats. So they figured any kind of celebrity would do.

This kind of thinking has been surprisingly successful so far. I hope they've finally gone too far.

is to explode a good nuclear bomb under the bad (from China) air. That would cause that air to rise and travel back to China and our good air to flow back to USA.

I think I got that correct. It's very complicated.

No, our good air doesn't go to China and their bad air comes to the US. What does happen is if China and other countries don't do anything about climate change it will affect the whole planet.
