3. I respectfully disagree. The fact that she so eloquently put him in his place was a total win.

He attempted to bully her and utterly failed. She totally held her space
and was not the least bit intimidated by Hawley. Not only did she hold
her space, she put HIM in his place... and did it with elegance and eloquence.

8. Yeah, sadly I must disagree overall, though I loved how she held her ground and the like as you say

However, that's different from rhetorical victory.

HIS angle on this was 'well, abortion isn't really a 'women's rights' issue, considering that people who identify as men can also want to get an abortion (by 'your sides' definition), correct?'.

He's doing this because he's working a particular political angle, where he's trying to get RePuQ women to not see Roe overturning as a 'womens rights issue'. Cause, after all, men (with uteruses) might want one too, right?

To me it looked like she was not well-prepared to respond to his line of questioning (which was gaslighting PuQ bullshit as always), and so reverted to 'talking points' which didn't fit the situation in the moment, and they sounded way over-the-top ... to me. She STARTED doing what she should've, but then got away from it, and I don't think it worked, let alone destroyed her debate opponent.

"Destroying" Hawley rhetorically would've involved calling him out for what he was trying to do, not introducing non-sequiturs about transphobia, accusing him of trying to get trans people killed, or pointing out trans suicide rates.

So, respectfully agree to disagree

In fact he treated it like footage for a campaign commercial.

So arrogant and full of himself, while being a traitor to the US Constitution and democracy. He belongs in prison, not in the Senate.
