DOJ Says Trump Running For Office Won't Stop Investigations - Ring of Fire
Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco made it clear on Tuesday that Donald Trump's decision to run for president will have no impact at all on the investigations being conducted - or on ones that could arise in the future. This announcement was made to not only put Trump on notice, but to also calm the public after reports emerged that Merrick Garland isn't going to investigate a politician in an election year.
