Why Those Missing Secret Service Texts Could Be Key To The Jan. 6 Probe - All In - MSNBC

Chris Hayes: “The internal Secret Service communications leading up to and during the Sixth are possibly the most revealing pieces of contemporaneous evidence you could ask for. But, of course, those text messages are gone.” - Aired on 07/29/2022.

That's the thing, how many in that administration were "acting??" Rhiannon12866 Jul 2022 #3

They can't be "key", there's already plenty of evidence Bobstandard Jul 2022 #5
Oh, I certainly agree. The evidence was there from the beginning, the hearings have solidified it Rhiannon12866 Jul 2022 #6

The fact that they were unconfirmable is one huge red flag...

That was the point. 5 "acting" Departments head replacements after Trump lost?....obvious what their purpose was.

Those missing secret service texts aren’t the key to anything, they’re just another tranche of evidence leading to the obvious conclusion that TFG was a willing participant if not the ring leader of a coup

Don’t fall for the trap of, “if only we had the SS texts we could have proven culpability…” There is already plenty of evidence. There is always going to be more evidence, but culpability doesn’t rest on that. The necessary proof is sitting in our laps.

Finally, I don’t buy the idea that DOJ can’t charge until they have a case that is so solid, so gold plated, that they can’t possibly loose. Any case can be lost. Charging, putting the case in front of a jury and on the open record is what this moment demands. See the historical footnote to TFGs presidency: impeached twice. All the evidence presented in those cases is there for the world to see. And the stigma will last forever.

And, from what we've heard, they're not done yet. At least we know now that the DOJ is moving forward, it's important that we know that, but you're right - the impeachment hearings put it all out there and the J6 Committee has produced the witnesses.
