Ditto for, "Cranking Up Dial" - you mean like as opposed to election interference, and actively funding and promoting the destabilization of this state - while initiating war crimes and brutal aggression against a neighboring one? The only FU towards us that Russia isn't engaged in right now - are the ones that they see as more likely to rebound against their own self interest.

(133 posts)Brittney, an Olympian, a collegiate and professional WNBA star journeyed to Russia to work. To work in her profession, which is to play basketball. She didn't pay attention to what was in her luggage and some pot residue was in her vape. This is how Russia, China, etc. is. Period. They treat foreigners like mass murders for a small amount of pot. It's all to put fear in their own people and to terrorize the world. I wish an asteroid with fall on the Kremlin.

(205,927 posts)I was there during much better times, in the late '80s with my grandmother and her peace group - and because I was among only two in the group who were not senior citizens, my luggage was searched, as well - and what I was challenged over was a book - but as long as it was "a novel," that was okay. Anything resembling news was prohibited.
As for the Kremlin, it's been there since the late 1400s, was built as a fort, and if anything fell in Russia, that would likely be the safest place.
