Japan PM shuffles cabinet as anger deepens over ties to Unification Church - ABC News (Australia)



Japan's prime minister Fumio Kishida says his new cabinet will help the country deal with costs of living and rising security tensions in the region. But he will also be hoping it puts space between his party and the controversial Unification Church, which has been in the news since the assassination of former prime minister Shinzo Abe. Lecturer in Japanese politics Donna Weeks tells The World Kishida's "rather high" popularity has taken a hit in recent weeks.
