As a person who held a TOP SECRET classification and handled TS material while in the service I have a few questions:
1. If the documents are now Unclassified why are they in the safe
2. Where is the paper, and there should be, that states the 'auto de-classification' of the documents
3. Why didn't he hand the material over the time/s he was asked to return the documents(?)
just asking...

Back in January?? And why didn't TFG face consequences over that misappropriation of classified material?? What's most important to determine is not just what he stole, but where it's been and precisely what was done with each and every classified document!
