He spent 30+ years in the Senate and 8 years in the Executive Branch, was chosen for VP because of his foreign policy experience. We know Joe Biden and we know we can trust him to do what's best for the country - which we desperately need with all that we've been facing.

he took office but after he won. And he was a Vice-President...he has seen it all and it shows. He like Johnson and Roosevelt can get things done.

And I saw my brother today and mentioned that we may be getting more new vaccines - all he needed to hear. He was resistant in the beginning but I managed to get him to go for the first two - I took him myself - and then he got his first booster on his own, but I couldn't talk him into booster #2 and now the nearby clinic where he went (old Sears store at the local mall) is closed. The whole time he kept asking me how many more, so telling him that more may be coming is all he needed to hear. The thing is, my brother is agoraphobic, does not like to leave the house, and booster #1 made him quite sick. *sigh*

I feel a great hope that has been missing for 5 years. Congress has to do something to fix our election laws. 5 states are using illegal Gerrymandering maps, including mine.

The filth they used to try and hide is now right out in the open. Nothing is too low or too dirty. They have packed the state legislatures.

All this corruption does not seem to bother Republicans as long as they win.

But Biden is out shining them all! We need to concentrate on that. And our Democratic Congress is performing like the honest Pros they are!

And here in Northeastern New York we're having two primaries this year - one for governor and lieutenant governor (was in June) and a second this month (for Congress) for the same reason - they couldn't agree on the lines for the district! For awhile, I wasn't sure which district I'd end up in!

On the last one I had just filled out my absentee ballot, received a call from the BOE telling me a mistake had been made, they were sending me another one. I know how hard they work to keep a clean election and the crooked antics of DeWine and his mob are killing them. I have no better word than mob, because that is what the party has become.

They changed the polling place from the one I attended to the one I once attended, a Southern Baptist I left because of a bigoted old Preacher. It has changed, thanks to a new, young Paster.

Honestly I seldom attend any now!

In so many places, those who seek to determine the outcome of elections are running for Secretaries of State if that includes the position of state election board chair - they learned their lessons from the story of Brad Raffensperger.

And my polling place is a nearby fire station! They do a good job, if there's a line during certain hours it moves pretty quickly. But when I voted in the 2020 election, a house across the street from the polling place had a Trump banner! We saw none in 2016, this sickness is spreading...

And blame a good share of the media for a good share of it.

I know we have those who try to give facts but the flood of every word Trump or his goons say is repeated over and over. Every show I have on in the background is full of Trump. Even the local stations avoid the corruption in this state. You have to read the Ohio Chronicle to get the truth on DeWine not only involved in the energy scandal, but was responsible for most of it, naming crooks to the over sight board.

On the local stations you hear nothing. Is it the same in NY?

I never watch the news on the Albany CBS affiliate since they're Sinclair. And the brother of a fellow DUer who I was friendly with had a run-in with the female anchor of that news broadcast. He was with a band that had a live performance in Saratoga, but this anchor was doing a remote broadcast nearby and forbade them to play, so I promised her I'd never watch that news! The amusing thing is that Colbert (which I watch and also post here) follows their late news so they always say to "stay tuned" for it - and Colbert dislikes TFG so much that he refuses to say his name - he asked viewers to send in "nicknames" for him which he uses instead!
