(1,832 posts)The DOJ, is zeroing in on trump. The papers were found in HIS desk drawer not his lawyers desk drawer.
The media needs to double check their headlines!
Thanks for posting Rhiannon!

(7,119 posts)The lawyers office is where TFG hides. Just like documentsthey arent lost, theyre hidden away so nobody can find them but TFG. Its his filing systemwhat papers?
TFG wants the DOJ to go through his lawyers, thinking that throwing his lawyers under the bus will work. That may work when a client actually pays his lawyer, but TFG is a deadbeat and is technically not a client. LOL
Like unsealing the affidavit, the DOJ wants nothing more than to scoop up the lawyers TFG is about to cast off and make them members of the DOJ team.
Then, TFG is next.

(217,087 posts)The infamous photo was not how the stolen documents were found, they were found in boxes in closets and in his desk drawers, but this photo was taken for the record to indicate what was found. FBI photographer likely also took photos of where all the documents were originally found, for the record. But now TFG and his "defenders" are insisting that he didn't leave the (stolen classified) documents spread out on the floor - which is only a distraction - the point is that he had them at all!

(12,413 posts)do not provide cover for the former guy. Trump was in personal possession of target materials - regardless of what his attorneys were mouthing. And - (I don't have this at fingertips, so not 100%) - but I think there are additional statements to the effect that Trump had personally gone through the remaining material.
If anything - I anticipate that the attorneys are going to reverse this and make claims that they were relying on assurances given by client. (and I'm not sure whether that gives them complete, or even partial, cover) But - 'taking the fall?' Couldn't, even if they were deluded enough to want to.
