Both China and Russia know that secondary sanctions are on the way, something that has the likelihood of killing Russia's economy stone dead. They mean that corporations will be given a choice: trade with Russia or trade with the rest of the world. Right now, South Korea is still sending things like cars and parts to Russia (and making a killing on inflated prices). Given a stark choice, they will likely cease, and they're only one example. Russia will have to choose between war and industry, it can't fully staff both. Either they manufacture what they need or they do without, not great when the car breaks down and there are no parts to fix it.
A good thing is Putin looking toward the east. When that extends to his own country, maybe he'll drop his European empire pipe dreams and and concentrate on the empire he already has. It's also telling that China sent their #3 instead of Xi, it's rather a slap in the face as well as a warning that China will do only so much for him while he's in Ukraine. I was unaware of this before this video.
Good job, Al Jazeera.
