And his brother were in England during the war. My BIL married an English girl.

I was a child, but my Dad was in the war. I had heavily censored V Mails from him.

Queen Elizabeth did her share during that war. Hard, dirt work. Keep mechanic. She did her best for the people.

I remember reading that children were sent away from London to safer places, but the Royal Family, including the two young girls, remained with the citizens of London. So she experienced the same traumas as the other citizens and absolutely stepped up when she was old enough - and hasn't stopped doing her duty and her best for all the decades since...

To show courage with the people. Winston Churchill did the same thing. They had a time keeping him in his safe room. As soon as the bombing stopped he was right out there among the ruins with people.

I am not for a Monarchy, but considering what we have been through over the last 6 years I can not tell you how proud I am of President Biden. He accomplished his goals by getting Republicans to help. He has many long time friends in the Senate. That really helped to accomplish his goals. He is now taking a Victory lap!

I fully expect him to get in his Corvette and do a spin around the WH!

But both the Royal Family and Winston Churchill definitely stepped up to the plate. I heard on the news tonight that Queen Elizabeth knew Winston Churchill, born in 1874 - and recently met the new PM, born in 1975!

And I certainly agree that we're extremely fortunate to have President Biden now - this is also his time! He's the most experienced POTUS we've ever had, 30+ years in the Senate and 8 years in the Executive Branch! And that experience is paying off!

It is clear they are friends and Biden helped Obama accomplish what he could but then he had a Republican Congress.

And we've sure needed that to attempt to mend fences with our allies after the previous four years. And I sure remember the Republican Congress - led by Mitch - obstructing so much of what Obama could have accomplished. Looks like the TFG supporters are coming back to bite McConnell now, but we're hoping that we're about to increase our majority...

Mitch McConnel made sure of that. He is an evil man.

But he is no longer in charge. Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are. Some Republicans decided they care more about their country than the corruption of Mitch and Trump so yjey helped.

Rob Portman was on the stage with Biden when the infrastructure bill was signed. That Brent Pence bridge has been a mess as long as I can remember. Now Mitch wants more money for it.
