Sept. Legal recap: from EMPTY classified doc folders to Judge Cannon's biased/unsupportable rulings
The month of September 2020 was a strange, curious and even dangerous thing on the justice front. It started with the revelation that dozens of folders seized from Mar-a-Lago - Donald Trump's Florida home - that were supposed to contain classified documents were EMPTY! It also started with Trump-appointed judge Aileen Cannon appointing a special master in accordance with Trump's request, and stopping the FBI/DOJ from investigating the possible crimes of Trump vis-a-vis the stolen documents. And the month ended with Judge Cannon tying the hands of the very special master she appointed in a way that worked to Trump's significant advantage.
To be honest, I'm not sure where September leaves us on the justice front. But I know we'll keep fighting for it . . . because justice matters.
This video presents a short recap of the legal stories for the month that was September 2022. - Glenn Kirschner - 10/01/2022.
