Chef Jose Andres: '[We Go To Them. Why? Because They Can't Come To Us' - Velshi - MSNBC

Chef José Andrés is “literally everywhere.” The world traveler, chef, and humanitarian is now in Florida delivering hot meals to those cut off by Hurricane Ian. It’s “more than cooking,” says Chef Andrés – the World Central Kitchen team creates “systems of distribution” which allows it to reach tens of thousands in a day. “We go to them. Why? Because they cannot come to us.” He has been flying into Isolated islands like Sanibel with food and medicine. “Distribution and planning wins the day.” - Aired on 10/01/2022.

I am also glad that Ali keeps interviewing him at all these locations and they have this same conversation about feeding people with local resources to mobilize the operations immediately. I have worked, briefly, in the restaurant business and what the man says is true, its a network that is global and local. It's similar to other trades that are widespread. I'm glad that he has figured out how to tap the vast network for relief purposes.

If you work in the food industry you will never starve until there is no food at all.
