A Politics Done Right caller said Beto ORourke, the Democratic Candidate for Texas Governor, should be disqualified for his name change. What about a governor who causes the deaths of Texans?

(7,850 posts)we are part of Texas and we are apart from Texas..512 miles to Austin..30 miles to Las Cruces, New Mexico...because El Paso is predominately Hispanic, our cultures, Hispanic/Anglo intertwine...and that's why Robert is Beto, Frank is Pancho, Guillermo is Willie, Jesus is Chuy, a fifth child carrying the family first and last name is Cinco..
as you said, when Trump-humper idiots cite a nickname as rationale for their no vote, they should apply the same moronic reasoning to Robert/Bob, Charles/Chuck, Elizabeth/Betty/Lizzie, William/Bill, Margaret/Maggie, James/Jim...

STILL Grandfather Frederick Drumpf left the country to avoid a draft...
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/donald-drumpf/
His paternal granddad who came to America at 16 with little more than a name he later changed lived a true rags-to-riches life, leaving his widow and three kids a modest fortune when he died, new records show.
Fred Trump, born Friedrich Drumpf, in Kallstadt, Germany, in 1869, had an estate worth $500,000 in todays dollars when he died in Queens on May 30, 1918, at age 49.
One of those documents was Frederick Trumps naturalization form, on which his signature was rendered Trump.

Grandpa Frederick Drumf, later Trump, emigrated from his native Germany to avoid military service:, CNN skates around the issue:
Donald Trump's grandfather was kicked out of his native Germany for failing to do his mandatory military service there, a historian has claimed.
A local council letter from 1905 informed Friedrich Trump -- who had become a United States citizen -- that he would not be granted his German citizenship back and that he had eight weeks to leave the country or be deported, German historian Roland Paul told CNN Tuesday.
He also claimed that Trump had illegally left Germany, failing to notify authorities of his plan to immigrate.
