This made me remember my Dad telling me about a veteran GI Bill roommate he had while in college. This poor guy was not only still jumpy, but he was missing half an arm, lengthwise. But he turned out to be an excellent friend, they apparently kept in touch and he came all the way to visit my Dad when he became ill in 1990.
