Trump flunky Kash Patel pleads the 5th; is DOJ investigative circle really tightening around Trump?

We are forever hearing media reports like the following from the New York Times:

"Prosecutors Pressure Trump Aides to Testify in Documents Case"

"Federal prosecutors . . . have ratcheted up their pressure on key witnesses"

"The Justice Department's investigation . . . is entering a new phase"

While it's true that the Department of Justice is pushing witnesses like Trump flunky Kash Patel to testify about/against Trump, what are we to make of the incessant refrain that the investigative circle is tightening about Donald Trump and his criminal associates?

In this video, I draw on my career as a prosecutor to view these claims through the lens of what I heard over and over from crime victims who felt like they were made to wait too long for arrests and/or indictments to be made: "the streets know." Here's how that sentiment translates to our current state of affairs, as we await justice to come for Donald Trump. - Glenn Kirschner - 10/28/2022.

It was being discussed tonight and the consensus was that so many have now been charge and convicted for lesser crimes - not to mention the threat to the lives of those who work in national security - that DOJ has no choice but to charge TFG for far, far worse.
