As the midterms approach, I thought we’d revisit what’s at stake by re-upping a podcast from January 2022 about the rise of the Autocratic movements around the world and how one party in America seems more than willing to join their club. This is the time we need a resurgence of democracy, not only at home but around the world, or those who would seek to sink the west will finally succeed, and the values and human rights we take for granted will be a thing of the past. Stick with me, so you know where we are and we can walk together in a better direction. I’m telling you this not to upset you, but to prepare you. We have to accept the reality of the problem if we’re going to muster the courage to solve the problem. We will either be the heroes of democracy or the victims of its demise. The choice is ours.

4. The media?

She says ''the media is doing us a disservice'' who does she think OWNS the media? Those same people who want the autocracy to succeed are the ones who OWN the media. First thing they did was PAY THE NEWS ORATORS a lot of money so they either said what they were told, while on the air, or they lose their wealth. This meant no more: limos, fancy parties, 3k outfits, fancy restaurants (we can't afford), and the list goes on. It's not just "fox news" doing the lying it's even done on you local news, why else is it that they don't say the dirty words- climate change. I told my wife the other day, we are in texas, that the "weatherman" never says the words climate change and that he should. My wife said it's not his job, so I told her HE'S THE WEATHERMAN. Then whos job is it? She just went silent. For years I have been attaching everyday occurrences with how they happened because of our political decisions. And all I hear, even from my sons, is "I'm being too political". The other day my son was complaining about something trump had done. So I told him if you had been too political we may have never had trump, he just went silent. I've gotten to the point that I'm feeling it's past "hump day" for the oligarchs. The oligarchs have gotten their grimy mitts on the republican party, and the media. Now they have their views being followed by the ignorant who don't know where they are going they are just following their supreme leader. My little brother who didn't have two nickels to rub together is an ardent trump supporter and the other day he finished his text with Q. Those of us who can still see the sky, and not the butt they are looking at thinking it's their savior, understand what is happening and feel without extremely high voting turnout our lives will change and by when the rubes know it also affected them. It will be too late...
