How Your State Legislature Might Pick the Next President Instead of You - Pod Save America
If you thought the Supreme Court Roe v Wade ruling was about as scary as it gets, we've got some bad news for you. In Part 2 of our special miniseries, Breaking Down the Ballot, What A Day host Priyanka Aribindi walks us through the threat posed by Republican plans to get the Supreme Court to say that state legislatures have the power to pick the next president instead of...you.
By hearing from three candidates currently running for State Legislatures (Ricky Hurtado for North Carolina House District 63, Jessica Katzenmeyer for Wisconsin State Senate District 5, and Laura Terech for Arizona State House, Legislative District 4) we'll learn what electing Democrats to your state legislature can do to save democracy and a whole lot of other progressive values.
