His point is that a vote for any Republican is also a vote for TFG, voters need to know this Rhiannon12866 Nov 2022 #4
Yes..absolutely. But minority leader mccarthy doesn't do anything now without tfg approval PortTack Nov 2022 #11
That's his exact point! Even as a private citizen (with huge legal issues) he's calling the shots Rhiannon12866 Nov 2022 #13

Got mansplained for mentioning this today on another thread here at DU.

if Trump is indicted by the DOJ between the election and January when the Republicans take over the House (which to be honest is almost a given at this point). Can you imagine the drama of the Speaker being prosecuted by the DOJ? Plus that puts the President and the VP in the crosshairs of the crazies because guess who is #3 ......

So if anyone anywhere these days votes for a Republican, they're still voting for TFG. Which is unprecedented and scary as hell...

I was in no way meaning to be cavalier. Tfg is a danger to all of us. My only point was mccarthy doesn’t do anything with the okay now.

Holding his "rallies" and telling those Republicans still in office - or running in the upcoming election - what to do. And given his ideas and ignorance of laws and what this country has always stood for - is scary as hell. These Republicans are running for government offices and yet pledge loyalty to the guy who attempted to overthrow the government!
