He occasionally steps in as host. Not often, but he subbed for another prime time host recently Rhiannon12866 Nov 2022 #4

I have a 50/50 attitude about Steve. He's so much like 80% of the boys I grew up with in New England... but that's not what I find annoying.

It's his Marty McFly movements that seems so awkward and his speaking manner when he's doing the election big board thing that I find annoying.

However, when he's doing a straight hosting gig, he's pretty tame and reasonable especially compared to Chris Hayes. His interviewing style, from what I recall from way back in the Bridgegate days, was a lot more like Rachel Maddow's.

When acting as a news host, he's as you said, just delivers the facts and definitely not excitable.

Showed up around the same time as several other journalists, I wish Kornacki had gone after Chris' spot on the roster but I think there was some back office business that kept him back, apparently he has a temper.

He is great at math and stats and has the election details down so I'm glad he's around for that, maybe he'll come back to hosting someday.

I can't remember which one, I've tended to have the news on when I'm home recently. And he did just fine, just the facts with no drama or excitement, as you said.
