(4,363 posts)This war must be won by Ukraine. Send Ukraine the air defense systems needed, the long range missiles needed to target the Russian military locations where the attacks on Ukraine originate and the aircraft needed. Enough of this war already. Let Ukraine move quickly to victory.
Many people are speculating that it was an errant Ukrainian missile. Possible, but if so, remember Ukraine would have never shot any missiles if they had not been invaded by the genocidal maniacs in the Kremlin. The fault will still lie on Putin's lap.
I am amazed that no one is mentioning the possibility the missile/missiles came from Belarusian territory. Russia has been firing missiles at Ukraine from Belarus since the beginning of the illegal invasion.

(21,606 posts)to see how Europeans are reporting on the war. It told about 14 cities throughout Ukraine that were bombarded with multiple attacks on their power systems in one day, leaving them without any power and much of their infrastructure destroyed. No region is left untouched.
The destruction of one power plant cut off power inside the border region of Moldova, whose power was connected to that system. All of this just as winter sets in.
The article said that air raid sirens throughout Ukraine are going off constantly now due to the immense number of missle attacks.

(205,996 posts)I can't imagine the lives of the people, especially now that it's gotten cold. And of course the destruction. I posted a couple of articles awhile back in E&E about the environmental impact, weapons of war left behind. And that's not even addressing the infrastructure - roads, bridges, housing, schools, hospitals - the entire country will need to be rebuilt.
