Related: About this forumDemocrats Launch 'War Room' To Keep Track Of Republicans' Abuses Of Power - Ring of Fire
Democrats this week laid out their plans for a rapid response "War Room" to counter the Republican investigations that are going to be a major part of the next Congress. This actually isn't a bad idea, and it will serve multiple purposes for the Democrats moving forward. They always seem to be ten steps behind the GOP on messaging, so perhaps this new plan could put an end to that. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

A Democratic group has announced that they're creating a new war room to take on the new Republican majority in the House of Representatives. It is a project called the Congressional Integrity Project, and their goal is gonna basically be to serve as a Communications depot for Democrats, you know, to keep an eye on all the investigations happening, make sure Republicans aren't abusing their power, which I think we all know they will. And most importantly, to craft media for Democrats to use to attack the Republicans. Now I gotta say, I love this idea. I think this is absolutely brilliant. You know, the, the biggest criticism I have had of the Democratic Party pretty much of ever is that they suck at messaging. They always let Republicans capture the narrative. They're always working from behind and they're never able to catch back up cuz they don't stay on top of things.
This group, it appears, is trying to right those wrongs. They're out there saying, listen, we're gonna be watching over their shoulder every step of the way. Every time they screw up. We're gonna let the public know we're gonna have press releases ready to go. We're gonna put ads together to run on tv. We're gonna disseminate talking points to other Democrats on how to do this, and we're gonna make sure the public knows every single time these Republicans go out there, do something stupid instead of doing something to help the public. That is a smart idea, and I like this. It is sorely needed with today's Democratic party because yeah, you're gonna have Democrats out there while Republicans are doing these stupid investigations. They'll go, they'll do an interview on CNN or MSNBC and they'll say like, oh, these pe this is ridiculous. We're wasting time here.
Well, guess what? Majority of people in this country are not watching cable news. They're not sitting on Twitter waiting for that clip to come through their feed. It's not getting shared on Facebook. So the way to do it is to put these ads together and put them out on television, which I hope is what this group does end up doing with this. But whatever it is, it's needed and this is a good first step. Obviously, we're not gonna be able to see exactly what this group is going to be doing until Republicans do take over and they finally, you know, kick it into gear. But I have hope for this. I think it's a brilliant idea and I wish them nothing but the best because the Democrats have got to get better at messaging and this is the way to do it.

I can't possibly say enough good things about this strategy.
Especially when they plan to produce the news on Fox News. We need to be prepared to dish it back to them.
