1. The police need to investigate a lot of other things about this mass shooting.

Local authorities should investigate how Aldrich was able to buy an AR-15?

Or why local prosecutors declined to pursue charges against him after he was arrested for multiple violent felonies?

Or why the court records for that case were placed under seal?

Or how Aldrich was able to avoid Colorado’s “red flag” gun law?

Or why local authorities didn't confiscate his guns, given his history of mental illness and violence?

Perhaps they can also investigate who in El Paso County government passed a resolution condemning Colorado's Red Flag law?

And who the hell thought it was a good idea to declare the county a “Second Amendment Sanctuary"?

The Springs is chock full of Christian right wingers, so I would have expected much worse from their Mayor.
