Special Counsel Jack Smith/DOJ seek interview with Mike Pence about Trump's insurrection crimes

Just five days after being appointed special counsel, it looks like Jack Smith has hit the ground running. Days ago, Mike Pence displayed a staggering lack of patriotism, not to mention a health dose of cowardice, by saying he was "closing the door" on testifying to the January 6 House select committee. Pence apparently is unwilling to tell the committee what he know about the crimes of Donald Trump, and is unwilling to help Congress repair and rebuild our democracy.

Mike Pence might try to "close the door" on testifying about the insurrection, but it looks like Jack Smith is preparing to kick the door wide open by first requesting a voluntary interview of Pence and them, should Pence again refuse, it is almost certain that Pence will then find himself on the receiving end of a federal grand jury subpoena.
