the only other things on other stations were the Simpsons reruns on the local Pox affiliate. I found I learned more about the state of this country from old Simpsons episodes than I had from the evening news.

I'm always amazed first that Groening and his staff have been given such latitude in what they do on that show and second that it's been so consistently good for so many years.

I know Pox News has been complaining about all the hits they take. I also know they have been duly ignored.
