Did they ever consider that Homer is meant to be the embodiment of stupidity on that show? A damn funny one but he is stupid... It reminds me when Tom DeLay's legal team put up that Colbert Report interview to show him 'crushing' a liberal.

And post-dates him too actually. Soooo... if anyone is anyone's bitch it's definitely the other way around. Of course, the whole idea is silly. Homer Simpson is played as whatever political point of view a joke can be made from. He is seen as both strong Republican and stringent Democrat for different jokes on different episodes.
