The first salvo has resulted in the courts rejecting her claim citing a phrase in the Montana State Constitution. The judge sided with the magats and threw it back out of the judicial for now. They aren't shy about their bigotry or intent to destroy whomever opposes them on anything.*

So they also underestimate who they are dealing with in the constituency because Missoula is chock full of Democratic leaning citizens and organizations that address environmental, human and social issues. They have taken a baseball bat to a beehive... let the stinging begin.

This will have to go to federal court because the state has too many magat judges, enough to shop around for one that's a magat. It's not all black and white here in every issue but it is enough of the time to where it's a problem.

I am glad to see this hit the national stage. Montana's population is not that different from a number of other states yet we are most usually sidelined on issues of major concern elsewhere... they are happening here too. If it continues under cover of disinterest, the results will spark more problems than most can imagine on a national and global scale.

So what are you saying, 2na?

I'm saying that portions of the country having large geographic area and a low population count are too often discounted in importance. This is lunacy due to the massive variation in ethnic background of the whole country and geographic detail. Good or bad policy for metro downtown anywhere addresses issues and conditions for that place wherein states like Montana, by their natural setting and survival needs of the people and wildlife there require something altogether different for management of the land and social structure.

In every case, one size does not fit all regarding political action and citizen response.

I'm not comfortable with they way this politics of this state are assessed elsewhere. There's a whole lot of forest being missed for the trees.

*And some want to perpetuate the myth of the wild west to cover their corruption. Montana has quite a history with corruption that should be reviewed and compared to the legislature of today.
