He won in 2016 (probably with interference), and lost in 2020 to Biden, so, it can’t hurt and he can’t claim she stole his election in ‘20.

On a less pathetic note (not that it won’t come up)…Every primary challenger is free to make their own decision, and I don’t think the process is necessarily harmful since it would force a look at the state of the states before the next election.
