4. Holiday = Holy day

Why the Right wing is upset about the word is beyond me. Christmas is a corruption of Christ's mass which is a Holy day.

The Roman Christians moved the date (unknown as of then) date of Christ's birth from the holy days of 1Tishri on the Hebrew calendar (about the 29th of September, the ancient Jewish New Year)to the 25th of December to coincide with Saturnalia.

Saturnalia was a week long debauche that culminated in the days of reversal when servants would be come heads of the house and the heads of the house would become servants. The 25th was right around the day of reversal, and thus, the lowly Jesus was elevated to God-like status.

So once again, upon examination, Bill O'Reilly is an uneducated, angry Dbag prattling on about something he doesn't even know about, just another Christian scandal from the past.

6. Excellent, really enjoyable movie btw....

This rather low-grade Remix of the theme song does not do the movie justice.

It holds up all these years later and is a "never miss" for me each Christmas - along with A Christmas Story and the Alistair Sim 1951 version of A Christmas Carol.
