Papantonio: The New Right Wing Confederacy

About the only consistent theme we’ve seen come from the pathetic crop of Republican presidential wanna-be’s is their eagerness to appeal to the most bigoted and racist members of their Republican Tea Party base. By attacking Muslims, African Americans, and basically anyone that isn’t a white Christian, GOP candidates like Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry are helping to further divide America with their hate. Mike Papantonio talks about how these candidates are creating a new confederacy with Theo Anderson, a contributor to In These Times magazine.

I don't know about that. The "they" in question are stupid, superstitious people who have to have the truth revealed to them by a trusted authority figure. Once that authority has their attention, what little critical thinking they are capable of is suspended and they don't even bother to notice any cognitive dissonance. Point it out to them, and they argue with you.

They are closed off because they fail the entrance test for higher education -- being able to think.
