This is Rachel Maddow coverage of the Michigan Fiasco

The Republican party really needs to be driven out of existence as long as they continue to promote policies that are anti-American. The problem is there are just too many people that can't even follow the money. This is an attack on small businesses by going after their customers. The end result is the impoverishment of the many.

I find the whole thing sad and could have been preventable.

We had a chance, this past November, to guarantee worker rights in the state constitution and, for some reason I cannot begin to fathom, the people (workers) voted those guarantees down.

Republicans, not being stupid, (ruthless but not dumb) probably saw that the population of the state was (apparently) not interested in preserving their rights as workers and moved to hurt them and bring them down more.

I really hate to say it but we kinda brought this on ourselves. We had the opportunity to make things like this nearly impossible and blew it.
