(17,301 posts)What a wonderful man. Someone you would really like to get to know.
He looks like the people who were born from their mother's taking the drug thalidomide. I use to know several people who had these deformities when I was growing up. Many of them were very heroic. The drug corporation was criminal for pushing thalidomide onto pregnant women.

(7,309 posts)And I mean it when I say it.
I wish I could be half the man he is.
Wow. I haven't seen anything so amazing in a long time. Yesterday was my mom's birthday, and also, the day my grandma, Mimia, had her leg amputated.
This was exactly what I needed.
I have become arrogant. I have become selfish. I have become needy. I have become aggressive.
I have a new starting point.
This guy, truly amazing, brought a tear to my eye.
Thank you, dispydoodle, for posting. You made my life.

Without any of the maudlin details, this could not have come to me at a better time.

(25,415 posts)Sometimes I get down from having type 1 diabetes but to see someone who really has had to overcome so much...it puts things in to perspective for me. Yes, having the diabetes is a big pain with having to constantly check my blood sugar and worrying all the time about my health. But it doesn't have to stop me from doing anything I want to, especially physically.
Also, Nick recently got married and he and his wife Kanae are expecting a baby boy:

(2,672 posts)Very inspiring, but after watching this amazing person, it pisses me off even more that scumbag republicans killed the UN Disabilities Act.
