Laughter sure helps.

(297,304 posts)Thanks sheshe.. Tell him someone said that Pres Obama has stopped smoking, though!
sheshe2
(83,789 posts)However I will give him a heads up.
I sure would like to send PBO a link to the 2nd one! LOL
It might help him in his negotiations with Boehner! He would be thinking of Mitzie/ Boehner in a dress. He would have to try not to
Cha
(297,304 posts)when I read that he finally had stopped. It's about my biggest peeve in general.
Yeah, the second would be grand.. Ronnie feels like a lot of us about the so-called "fiscal cliff"..I love it!

(83,789 posts)They were both great...however the lyrics in 2 defiantly

sheshe2
(83,789 posts)Who were you?

Stuart G
(38,434 posts)It was a wonderful play..
later I saw a professional version of Mikado...
I was also in a play called Arsinic and Old Lace....played cousin Teddy...
and...later I saw the 1943 version with Cary Grant...lots of fun..
I was in some other plays..too usually small parts..
sheshe2
(83,789 posts)then again it was only in grades 4-8. LOL

Jackpine Radical
(45,274 posts)It fails to do justice to Ron Butler to describe him as Gilbert & Sullivan reincarnated in one black guy.
sheshe2
(83,789 posts)From the creds. at the end...Ronnie Butler Jr( His son I presume) wrote and directed. Talented family!
Does Ron look like PBO's twin or what!
Thanks Jackpine!

(83,789 posts)Ron Butler is a Jamaican guitarist, notable for his association and work with several reggae bands and artists including The Wailers and Israel Vibration, Morgan Heritage, Glen Washington, Steel Pulse, Eek-A-Mouse and Denroy Morgan.
He should not be confused with Ronnie Butler & The Ramblers or Ron Butler, musician/actor from the Bahamas.
Butler has been a professional musician for approximately 30 years and studied Jazz and Commercial Music at Five Towns College in New York.
Ron Butler played all the guitar parts on Denroy Morgan's hit, "I'll Do Anything For You" from the album by the same name as well as "Happy Feeling" and "Sweet Tender Love" from the same album. His first release was with The Naturals (Funky Rasta).
Butler also had a minor role in the movie "The Color Purple" as the bassist in the "Juke Joint" and also performed on two songs on the soundtrack. He last performed with Israel Vibrations as a member of the backing band "Roots Radics".
Cha
(297,304 posts)That's weird I called him Ron Butler Jr in my first post on him.. I guess I got it from the credits! I just read on your other post about the two Butlers.
I have been back and forth on his facebook page ...gotta say I am a newbie to it. Do not really understand how it works.
However He is also known as Ronnie Butler Jr. I asumed it was his son. Guess not. So Cha you are not wrong at all!
I started to post him and link him to the Fab. response that he got at DU! Then, correct me if I am wrong...it would have given out my name and facebook page. As I said I am new there. Only joined after near family disaster!
Thanks Cha!
Cha
(297,304 posts)You're doing grand for a newbie.. you're a natural and think how could you'll be by Jan 20, 2013~

(16,402 posts)[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]I remember the first one from a while back and, as we all should know, he really has quit smoking now.
The new one is absolutely priceless!
Mr. Butler is a very talented performer and I hope he does many more like these.
Cha
(297,304 posts)was sure to point it out that he has quit smoking. I was so happy about that!
[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]I think a lot of us were very happy (besides Michelle and the girls) when he finally kicked the habit completely! Love the way the chorus in the video sang to give him a break, though.
