3. This is why successful shows have a staff of writers...

...so under deadline pressure they can come up with enough material that they can cherry-pick the good stuff and leave (most of) the crap far away from the audience.

If you want to be good at anything you have to be 100 percent willing to totally suck when you begin.
Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. At least at the beginning.

7. interesting - his delivery doesn't seem that different, but the content was sooooo lame...

It reminds us that we owe kudos to the Daily Show writers.

His timing was the problem in this one....his timing now it perfect.

9. Much of it is the timing..

In the mtv thing, he is rushing the delivery. On Daily, he is at the desk, the 1/2 second delay between sentences works wonders.
