Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., and his family have safely evacuated from Israel after they were visiting the country for a Bar Mitzvah. Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., has also safely departed from the country after leading a delegation with Jerusalem as their first stop. NBC News' Julie Tsirkin reports from Capitol Hill where flags have been ordered to fly at half-staff. - Aired on 10/08/2023.

I still remember his reports from the Ukrainian border at the start of the war there - I always thought he should have received an award for that. And he has since gone back to catch up with people he met on that initial trip.

He was also lead counsel in the first impeachment hearing and represents the district that includes the Statue of Liberty!
