I once spoke with an ex-con who was "reborn" in prison. He told me this: "God knows everything I will ever do and he forgives me for all my sins. That means I can do whatever I want to do." I asked him if he had to be sorry for his sins before they could be forgiven and he wouldn't talk to me any longer.
