Some of these old laws are asinine and need to go! That pisses me off to no end. Where is the justice here?

I have told this story before. Utah is so backward when it comes to women's rights. I believe this attitude is taken to encourage women to marry, because you know, it will keep them safe and out of trouble.

I see in this a link to premarital sex. Since the woman(evil) agreed to have sex outside of wedlock with a man(good) she is not entitled to
protection of the law.

Statistically it's pretty likely they were appointed by a Republican. For quite some time it's been their strategy to stack the courts with right wing freaks, and to sandbag judicial appointments by Democrats. And the result is you get rulings like this.
