Amgen agreed to pay a $762-milllion criminal settlement just prior to this.
Amgen has 74 lobbyists on Capitol Hill.

Great interview with an inside look on lobbyists, etc.

Very sad day for America.
Maybe this is why the Republicans always take these situations to the last minute, or "fiscal cliff."
