2. Some years ago when the Executives salaries started to rise and the lowly worker stayed

On low wages I said then one of these days the labor making the money was going to get squeezed out. Now it is true. The executives has told the story "we deserve hugh salaries because if we did not get them we would not stay on the job". Like the old story "have you ever stuck your finger in a glass of water? When you pulled your finger out did it leave a hole? This means you can be replaced." This is simple, pay a few lots and workers a little and we will have what we are in now, spread the money and the workers will rebound this economy, we are the jib creators, we purchase products and services and we are the backbone of America. Executives does not purchase enough products and services to keep the economy going. Everyone wants to fight unions, look at the corporate boards, they are their own union, always giving to each other.

Posts like this used to elicit a great deal of rec's and discussion here on DU. Now it seems that only silly stuff gets any attention. Where did everyone go?

Marvin Gaye, Roberta Flack and many others were singing about inequality in the early seventies. Thank Republicans and as Mike Papantonio expresses: "Rahm Emanuel Democrats."

I'm so glad Bernie said this - people who have given up looking for work are among the most desperate in our country, and it's a damn disgrace!
