(102,291 posts)they climb in, automatically revert to the biggest flaming a'hole ever, weave in and out of traffic to get to the interstate where, in heavy traffic, they abusively tail-gate all the subcompact cars at 90 mph--even through construction zones. Frustrated that trapped commuters won't (CAN'T) get out of their way, they start the high beam halogen headlight game.
They DO eventually get around all their victims--who are left praying they kill THEMSELVES and not SOMEONE else down the road.
Yeah, I hate those tanks, but more the drivers they seem to attract.

(26,330 posts)It's not any more than a pick up truck with an enclosed useable bed.
When not being used for work it makes a rally comfy ride for passengers.
When I bought my first one my buddy said "yuck that's disgusting!!"
Within a week: can I borrow your truck to go to Home Depot?
Two weeks later: can I borrow your truck to go to the furniture store?
Two weeks later: can I borrow your truck to pick up some wheelbarrows?

(7,685 posts)one of them decided he had to exit NOW from the far left lane (VERY wide freeway -- 4? 6? 7? lanes in each direction) and made a 90 degree turn to the right straight across the lanes.
I'm not Catholic, but I crossed myself, thankful I wasn't in his way.
A moment later we saw him return to the freeway, going right to left ON HIS HOOD !!!
I didn't stick around to looky-loo.

(57,488 posts)I was at the east portal of the Moffat Tunnel in December 1993 with a rental car. I gave it some thought. I made it about 50 feet before there was too much snow.

(20,692 posts)Didn't run over any civics, fiats, or piruses. Thought about it. Way up there, you kind of lose interest in all those little people sitting so close to the tarmac.
Kept seeing off-road patches that I thought, "I could make that." But stayed on the pavement.
Back in my escape, it feels tiny!!!
