Omega... The White Doberman

Another pet sitting gig in Denver... She was so gentle and sweet, she would prance like a deer when she wanted to play. Mind you I rubbed a T shirt all over my body with my smell, and left it with her, 2 weeks in advance before I entered the house for the first time.

So goofy, but lots of fun. Very protective. He was very large and a little ungainly, but really loveable. Good dog. My sister and brother in law came to visit from UK. My sister got up one morning to go to the bathroom. Bill thought she had returned to bed, rolled over and there was Demetrious!! He did not know what to do, since he only met the dog two days earlier. They were sleeping in my son's room, and the dog slept with him.

Of course had I been in that situation, rolled over and saw Demetrious, my heart would have stopped ! Prior to meeting Omega, I had always feared Dobermans. I have a funny/ scary story to share...

I rented a house on Lake Huron in the thumb area of Michigan while working at a restaurant for the summer season back in the 80's.

The neighbors always let their Doberman run free in the neighborhood so I was always on the lookout for him.

One day, I had to run home quick and then head right back to the restaurant, I left my drivers side window down, ran into the house and grabbed whatever I forgot and ran back out to my brand new car, reached for the door handle and I hear growling, I look in and see a brown Doberman sitting in the drivers seat of my car ! Would not let me in to my own car !

The Dob started to whimper, I see a school bus pull up and a young child gets off the bus, this dog jumps out the window and greets the young child with excitement. I did get back to work after all.

I feared dobermans too, until my son brought home his. We all fell in love with him. Very protective. One day I sliced a piece of banana bread, put it on the kitchen table. I left the room for a matter of seconds. When I came back, there sat Demetrious beside the table, looking innocent and the plate was empty!! Not even a crumb left on that plate!
